KANSAI HELIOS Austria supports Viennese schoolchildren in the VCÖ project competition

This year, KANSAI HELIOS Austria is once again supporting the project competition organized by the Austrian Association of Chemistry Teachers (VCÖ). The motto of this year’s competition, now in its 18th year, is “Green Chemistry” and inspires young talents to develop pioneering and environmentally friendly solutions to current challenges. The focus is on resource-saving processes, renewable materials and sustainable production methods – key topics for both the participants and the chemical industry.

Ulrike Mangl, Director of Education, also attended the ceremony and emphasized how important it is to bring pupils into contact with practical science at an early stage in order to awaken their interest in sustainable innovations.

This year, the KANSAI HELIOS Austria project grants went to the teachers and students of BRGOG 23 Anton Kriegergasse Reder and HAK/HAS 10. “We are convinced that the key to a sustainable future lies in the hands of young, curious researchers. We are therefore delighted to make a contribution and support them on their journey. We would also like to show our appreciation to all the dedicated teachers who work on the projects with their students,” emphasizes Cornelia Camondo-Weißhappl, Director Corporate Communications & Marketing of the KANSAI HELIOS Group.

This support not only provides the students with essential work materials such as safety goggles, micro-torches, hot plates and multimeters, but also exciting research tools – including a model hybrid car that clearly demonstrates sustainable technologies. These materials enable the students to put their innovative ideas into practice. We are looking forward to seeing the great projects that will emerge from this competition.
